HOW TO BRING MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS CLOSER TO CITIZENS?

On April 17, Generation of ideas is organizing a Remue-GEDI on citizen participation. This event is being held in anticipation of a series of political workshops that the Union des Municipalités du Québec (UMQ) is organizing on May 10 .

Generation of ideas will participate in the theme * 100 ways to talk to your population * in the company of the Institut du Nouveau Monde and Apathy is boring and we want the ideas raised during this Remue-GEDI to be presented as part of this workshop where more than 200 people are expected .

Current political events lead us to revisit the role of elected officials and the way of exercising this profession which is essential to the proper functioning of our society. Contact with the population is more important than ever for the success of social projects. Beyond official consultations, dialogue between the population and elected officials is imperative. The tools for communicating are multiplying and the needs of citizens are varied. It is sometimes necessary to use originality to get closer to citizens and adapt to their reality.

We look forward to seeing you there!
